Health and safety inspections

As an employer you’re obliged to monitor the measures you have in place to prevent accidents and ill health.* Employers, owners and landlords of business premises also have to make sure workplaces meet certain standards.**   Our health and safety inspections will help ensure you’re covered by law.

Ideally, your health and safety inspection should be annual. During our inspection, as well as looking at the physical aspects, we’ll also review the practices and activities that take place there.

Our health and safety inspection doesn’t look at your policies and procedures - that’s covered by our health and safety audit.  However, we will check certain documentation, for example your accident book, to make sure it complies with legislation.

Our report

We lay out our health and safety inspection report room by room, floor by floor. We include comments, actions and a timescale for those actions to be completed. We’ll also include any actions that need to be addressed by your landlord or managing agent.
