The Safety Business

The Young Review

Sep 2, 2010
Category: General

In his articles for the 'Daily Telegraph', Lord Young speaks out against so called 'ambulance chasers' and idiocies that banned sensible activities on grounds of health and safety.

It would seem that the focus of the Young Review is:

  • The manner in which public sector law is interpreted by local authorities and the Health Service.
  • Police and Emergency Services and the way they interact with the public.
  • The way that Health and Safety consultants, insurance companies and the legal system interact in the private sector.

In his articles, Young comments that many lose all sense of proportion and that bureaucracy is seen as an unnecessary irritant where principles of health and safety have been extended to areas of life that are comparatively safe.

We look forward to learn how impartial and accurate the Young Review may be.
