Lord Young Report - RIDDOR Timescales HSE Consultation in Progress

Feb 10, 2011
Category: General

Following the recommendation by Lord Young in the ‘Common Sense, Common Safety consultation is currently underway with the HSE to extend the RIDDOR absence timescale from the over 3-day period to an over 7 day period to allow this to chime with the Fit Note scheme.

Under RIDDOR serious accidents and incidents are to be reported to the Incident Contact Centre and passed on to the relevant enforcement authority for assessment and follow up. If you want a quick update on RIDDOR or are just not sure what its means for you or your employer
